Matt Hanson

After coming to the Sierras for as long as he could remember, Matt realized a dream and moved from his bay area home to Tahoe in October, 1985. He was only planning on spending a winter, but 32 years later he is still here and loving it as much now as he did then.   Matt first lived on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and then the West Shore before finally  purchasing his first home with his wife Stephanie in 1992 and moved to Truckee.  Matt worked in the ski industry, bike industry (in fact owned his own bike store from 1992-1996), construction and landscape trades before beginning his real estate career in 1997.  He has been a full time agent ever since, earning his broker’s license in 2005 and founding Tahoe Truckee Homes. Now an independent brokerage, Matt has added property management to his resume as Tahoe Truckee Homes manages long-term, vacation, and seasonal leases.  Through his time as a realtor, Matt has personally bought, sold, and built custom homes boosting his knowledge in all facets of real estate. His commitment to the real estate industry was recognized in 2017 when he received the Realtor Of The Year award from the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors. It’s Matt’s straightforward, honest approach that has made Tahoe Truckee Homes what it is today.
